OWA Desktop gives users complete control over their OWA session from their desktop with real time alerts and advanced one-click features.

OWA Desktop brings OWA webmail functionality to the user’s desktop, mirroring the desktop Outlook experience, but with the added benefit of a thin client. No more need for a log-on every time a user would like to view or send a message or access their calendar. New mail and appointment alerts, with one-click access to advanced features, are provided to the user in real time. OWA Desktop gives the user all the functionality they have come to expect and depend on from Outlook and goes a step further by providing time-saving features not found in native desktop Outlook.

OWA Desktop provides a solution that meets most users’ needs without having to install Outlook. It provides the power and access of the Microsoft Outlook Web App right from the system tray.

Clicking on the OWA Desktop Icon gives you immediate access to all available functions. Hovering over items such as Inbox, Calendar and Tasks in the Commander provides information such as the number of unread messages, current reminders and incomplete tasks.
  • If you regularly access multiple email accounts, you can set each one up in OWA Desktop and you will see a uniquely colored icon for each mail account. There is no limit to the number of accounts that can be set up.
  • Clicking Inbox, Calendar or Tasks in OWA Desktop will display a compact, fully functional OWA Window in which you can create new, or modify existing entries.
  • The Compose Mail, Appointment and Task options allow you to compose a new message, new appointment (with scheduling assistant) or new task with a single click. No need to keep a browser window open.
  • OWA Desktop has been designed with enhanced Reminder and Notification interactive windows. You will receive real time new mail notification and reminder pop-ups which notify you of upcoming or recently past appointments and meeting requests. You can easily work with these notifications from within the pop up.
  • The Options window allows you to change the Date and Time format as well as allowing you to set preferences for New Mail Notifications and Reminders.
  • OWA Desktop allows for importing and exporting Personal Contacts within OWA through a quick and easy to follow wizard.
  • OWA Desktop allows for importing National, Religious, and Corporate Holidays to your calendar. This is accomplished with a quick and easy to follow wizard.
