This is an important newsletter as Microsoft has released Exchange CUs in response to critical security issues. Links to the Microsoft CUs and corresponding Messageware updates are below.

Since our last newsletter, we’ve been busy preparing for the launch of Messageware Mail Forms, productivity software for Exchange Online and On-Premise. And, readying our new security product to protect Exchange Server protocols for both 2-factor (2FA) and non-2FA deployments.

We’ve recently returned from this year’s RSA Security Conference where we demonstrated our new products. If one thing stood out for me; it’s that companies with 2FA are aware of the additional vulnerabilities, but it hasn’t been easy for them to find solutions. Password attacks are rampant, and disclaimers like this one from 2 Factor vendors are not helpful: “… Exchange Web Services, ActiveSync, and Autodiscover continue to work as before…”. To be clear, this means that 2FA/MFA solutions do not protect them.
